Sharon's Work While in The United States

November 2003 - January 2006

While in the USA, Sharon's work had three major focus points:

In an e-mail January 16, 2006, Sharon described her work while in the USA.  In her own words:

During the 2 years and 3 months I’ve had here, the Lord has graciously given me several things to do.  I helped 4 churches (different denominations) cooperate together to develop an outreach ministry to ethnic people in their neighborhood.  I’ve also gotten acquainted with people here who are coordinating the SIM work with HIV/AIDS and know a bit of how to complement what they are doing when I get started with that work in Ethiopia.  My third responsibility was as a “coach” for newly appointed missionaries.  My job was to encourage them and either answer their questions or help them find someone who could.  I had 5 “units”—2 couples and 3 singles.  Of these 5, 3 are on the field now and one will be traveling with me to Ethiopia.

As I look at all the Lord has accomplished while I’ve been in the USA, I am amazed and can only praise Him for His grace and enabling.
